swan_tower | "Hermit of the Crossroads"

I feel like this poem is more characteristically me than any of the ones I sold before it. For one thing, it's very classically a form poem -- terza rima, with an ending couplet a la a terzanelle -- and although I do write free verse, form is where my heart lives. For another, it is not only secondary world fantasy, but a quiet, meditative piece inspired by religious anchorites, a tradition I find fascinating.

So I am delighted that it has found a home with Haven Spec! I will update when it comes out.
